TurnTab is made by Ornardo Ltd (company number 17459993, England and Wales), the controller of the personal data described here. Questions or requests: support@ornardo.com.

Your head movement stays on your Mac

TurnTab reads head movement from your AirPods through macOS’s Motion & Fitness API to decide when to switch apps and how much of the screen to frost. That data is processed in memory on your Mac, never stored and never sent anywhere. TurnTab doesn’t use the camera or microphone.

Your settings (the apps, tabs, steps and angles you choose) are saved on your Mac only. Switching browser tabs reads tab titles and addresses through macOS Automation, on your Mac, at the moment you turn.

When you buy

Payment is handled by Stripe, which collects your card details and email under its own privacy policy; we never see your card. We keep your email address, the license key, the order reference, the amount and currency, so we can send your key, help you recover it and handle refunds.

When TurnTab checks your license

When you unlock TurnTab and when it checks in (at launch and about once an hour), it sends your key, a random-looking identifier for this Mac (a one-way hash of its hardware ID, which can’t be turned back into it), the Mac’s name as shown in Sharing settings, and the TurnTab and macOS versions. We use these only to limit a key to 2 Macs, to show you which Macs use it, and to stop refunded keys working.

Our website’s server keeps a salted, one-way hash of your IP address for a day to limit repeated failed unlock attempts and key-recovery emails. We don’t keep IP addresses themselves.

Emails

We email your key and receipt when you buy, and your keys again if you ask through “Lost your key?”. Emails are sent through Resend. No newsletters or marketing.

Feedback

If you send a bug report or idea from TurnTab, we store your message with your license’s email so we can reply.

Who processes data for us

Some of them are in the United States; transfers are covered by their standard contractual clauses or the UK–US data bridge.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep purchase and license records for six years for tax and accounting, and activation records while your license exists. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion (we may need to keep records the law requires), and you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
