Help
Setting up takes a minute. If something’s off, the fix is probably below. If not, email support@ornardo.com.
Set up
- 1
Install it
Open the download, drag TurnTab to Applications and open it. It lives in your menu bar.
- 2
Put your AirPods in
Connect them to your Mac and play your Mac’s sound through them. If they’re connected but idle, TurnTab offers to switch the output for you.
- 3
Allow Motion & Fitness
macOS asks once. That’s how TurnTab reads your AirPods.
- 4
Look at the screen and recenter
TurnTab learns where straight ahead is. Later, press ⌃⌥⌘C any time.
- 5
Pick your apps
Choose what happens when you look left and right, then unlock with the key from your email.

Fixes
The dial doesn’t move
Check the AirPods are connected to this Mac, in your ears, and playing the Mac’s sound. Then check TurnTab is allowed in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Motion & Fitness.
It says “Starting head tracking” and stays there
A Bluetooth connection doesn’t always mean the motion stream is ready. Put both AirPods in their case, close it for a few seconds, then wear them and reconnect to the Mac. TurnTab retries on its own.
My AirPods switched to my iPhone
TurnTab pauses and waits. Reconnect them to the Mac, then nod twice or press ⌃⌥⌘C to recenter. It won’t pick a new centre without you.
Turning right moves the dial left
Turn on Invert direction in Settings › Tracking, then recenter.
The centre creeps over time
Keep Stabilise centre while still on in Settings › Tracking. If it still creeps, raise the stillness threshold a little, or recenter with ⌃⌥⌘C.
It fires when I only glance away
Raise the trigger angle or the hold time in Settings › Actions.
Tab switching says it isn’t allowed
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Automation and turn on your browser under TurnTab.
Minimise hides windows instead
Minimising needs Accessibility access. Turn TurnTab on in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility.
Your license
How many Macs can I use?
2. Your key unlocks TurnTab on 2 Macs at once.
I’m moving to a new Mac
On the old one, open Settings › License and choose Deactivate this Mac. Then enter your key on the new one.
I lost my key
Use “Lost your key?” at the bottom of any page and we’ll email every key bought with your address.
Does it need the internet?
Only now and then. TurnTab checks in when it can and keeps working offline for weeks in between.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of buying. Email us and we’ll refund you in full.
