Everything a turn can do.

Pick what happens when you look left and when you look right. Each side gets its own action, its own way of tidying up, and its own way back.

Switch to any app.

TurnTab brings the app forward, and opens it first if it isn’t running. If it has no windows, it opens one.

Slack on the left and Zoom on the right. Xcode one way and the simulator the other. Your call.

Find the right tab.

Type part of a tab’s title or address, or pick from the tabs you have open. TurnTab finds it in Chrome, Brave, Edge or Vivaldi and brings it to the front.

When several tabs match, an exact title wins, then a title that starts with your words, then any title containing them, then the address. A tab that’s already showing wins a tie.

Follow your eyes to the other screen.

With two displays, look at the other one and TurnTab moves focus and the pointer there. No hunting for the cursor across a 5K monitor.

Or run several steps in a row.

Pause the music, open Slack, jump to the standup tab and press the mute shortcut, all from one turn.

Steps can open an app, switch to a tab, open a link, run a Shortcut, press keys, play or pause, skip tracks, mute, focus the next screen or wait a moment.

Hide the rest. Go back when you look back.

Leave every other app alone, hide them, or minimise their windows. Keep a few, like your music, on screen whatever happens.

Choose Go back to where I was and looking back brings back the app you left, and plays or unmutes whatever TurnTab paused.

Frost what you turn away from.

The side of the screen you’re turning away from blurs over, and the blur follows your head across. Look back and it clears. It’s click-through, so it never gets in your way.

Tune the frost.

Set the angle where the frost starts and where it covers the whole screen, how strong it is, how soft its edge is, and whether it’s light, dark or follows your Mac.

It moves at your display’s refresh rate, smooth on a 120 Hz screen.

Three ways to move.

Turn

Look left or right. The one most people use.

Tilt

Ear towards your shoulder, for desks where you turn a lot anyway.

Up / down

Dip your head or look up, with its own pair of actions.

Nod twice. Shake your head.

Give each gesture an action of its own: a nod to skip the track, a shake to pause whatever’s playing. Gestures work in every mode and need no calibration.

A double nod also recenters TurnTab when it’s asking you to.

Nod twice

Shake

Fire when you mean it.

Trigger angle is how far you turn. Hold time is how long you stay there, so a quick glance doesn’t count. Reset margin is how far you come back before it can fire again.

While your head is still, slow sensor drift is filtered out, so the centre stays where you set it.

Always in charge.

Two shortcuts from anywhere. If your AirPods hop to your iPhone, TurnTab pauses, waits and picks up when they’re back. It never moves your centre on its own, so nothing fires by surprise.
